HISTORY

Richard founded Capital Pattern and Model, Inc. in 1960. The company was a close-tolerance, hands-on operation that specialized in prototype pattern equipment and die model making. To this day, Capital Pattern remains family owned as Doug, son of Richard, bought the company in 1990

In the 1970s, Capital Pattern expanded into plastic prototype parts, with major clients including International Business Machines (IBM). Throughout the 1980s, the business changed greatly as the nature of die model work changed and the industry focused increasingly on plastic prototypes and patterns.
Throughout the 1990s, Capital Pattern has taken its operations to a new level by introducing significant advances in technology into the company's pattern-making business. Capital Pattern expanded its client base to include point of purchase, vacuum formers, foundries, and ceramic part companies. We have developed a large casting client base and have created a unique "turnkey" casting solution by aligning tooling with foundry and machining companies. Our goal has been to establish long term relationships with our customers and by fulfilling their real needs.
