Engineering Assistance
Capital Pattern and Model, Inc. has incorporated into each our projects free engineering assistance. We will work closely with your engineering staff to assist in choosing the correct metal selection, casting technology and casting designs for your project to be successful. With over 50 years of experience we can help to eliminate some of the pitfalls that tend to create expensive projects.
Vacuum Formed Parts and Patterns
Capital Pattern and Model, Inc. has become a premiere source for Vacuum Form Part and Pattern for the POP industry. Our ability to make complex vacuum form patterns enables us to meet the most demanding challenges. We can manufacture prototype mdf, modeling board patterns or production tooling made from aluminum. We use our partner vacuum former to make the piece parts with short lead-times.
Inspection Services
Many customer require dimensional inspection, x-ray, chemical and physical testing, microstructures to be done on their castings prior to production runs. Capital Pattern and Model, Inc. has developed techniques and partners to orchestrate this testing for your next project without slowing down the overall project timeline.
Reverse Engineering
In some cases the only information that is available for a particular project is an old or existing casting. When this happens we could have the casting scanned to create Cad model information. With this information we could create the necessary pattern equipment to make the casting design. Another way we can do reverse engineering is when there is only a blue print available in which case we could draw the part in 3d from a 2d print.
Rapid Prototype Production
Productivity is achieved by guiding a product from concept to market quickly and inexpensively. The turnaround time for a typical rapid prototype part can take a few days. Conventional prototyping may take weeks or even months, depending on the method used. Rapid prototyping can be a quicker, more cost-effective means of building prototypes as opposed to conventional methods. We manufacture prototypes be means of casting, machining or hand built working prototypes.
